I’m Guðmundur Hjalmar Egilsson, and this is my homepage. Here I might share stuff I find interesting, but I might also not update this page at all!

I grew up in Iceland but I’ve been living in Göteborg in Sweden since autumn 2017.

Most of my time is spent developing software for autonomous trucks at Volvo Autonomous Solutions. Outside of work, I enjoy being outdoors — biking, running, hiking, and spending time with friends.

Over the past few years, I’ve become somewhat of a fanatic follower of professional cycling. When I’m not watching races, I try to do some programming, work on side projects, and try to keep my bike(s) in a functioning state.

In late summer 2025, I did a two-month solo bikepacking trip from the city of Kiel in northern Germany down to Spain and back (on the way back, I cheated a little by taking the train for one day through most of France). I documented the trip with a lot of photos here.
